I have to walk through one to get to work which is a few blocks from where I work and all I hear is "Hey baby", What up shorty" Nice ***", It's annoying becuase It's degrading and I'm not used to this. I'm afraid one of them might get a little carried away and hurt me one of these days, what can I do?

they have no home training
they were either raised by ignorant mothers whom behaved like hookers and had different men in and out the house . So they never had a real male figure to show them how to talk to a real woman not hoochie. The hood rats from there neighborhood except that talk cus they don't no better either. i can 't stand thuggish dudes or stupid tackheadhoes or hood rats whatever u want o call them.

They think rude and primitive behavior makes them more
"male" & stronger in the eyes of the other gang-members...
The "ghetto" is always and every where... but if the bosses of a big firm behave as like they were gorillas, no one cares. In the ghetto the rude boys rape girls by using violence. Not all of them. I grew up on the rough side of town and I'm one of the most respectful individuals you'll ever meet. If you don't have another alternative to get to work(a ride)then I suggest you carry some pepper spray because the stuff works. Oh,and don't say ANYTHING to any of them. It might encourage one of them to act out one day,you never know.

Like you stated, it's degrading, how better for a ghetto boy to feel better about himself than to put someone else down....I wonder if it would qualify as sexual harassment, inquire with your local law enforcement agency if they can do anything for you.

Just ignore them if you have to walk that way. Carry pepper spray if it's legal in your state if that'll make you feel safer. Otherwise just try to get a ride to work.

Avoid them as much as possible. They can hurt you especially if you diss them. They are like that because that is how they grew up and that is all they know. They want attention but don't know how else to get it and someday they might decide to get what they want. be careful you are beautiful

Mainly because they are in situations where everything is negative and when they try things the right way but still get no where and are turned down more often than not so they do what is human nature, try to survive and they have to fight for everything

Not all of them are, they probably don't know that it's degrading you, or sometimes they like to tease. Try a different route..and bring pepper spray with you =).
