I'm w`ashing a few white bras that were kind of expensive ($40-$50), so I don't want to ruin them like I have in the past.

Washing-
I know handwashing is best, but when I handwash, I can never seem to get all of the detergent out, which irritates my skin. Can I put them in the washing machine on a gentle cycle? I read that I should put them in a pillow case if I do so. Also, would a lingerie net work also? Would doing this work?

Drying-
I plan on shapping the cups then hanging them on a hanger to dry. Any better ideas?

Oil stains-
What's the best way to get the oil / dirt stains out of the perimeter of the bra and bra straps? I'm currently soaking the perimeter where the stains are in Oxy Clean stain remover. Is this okay?

Sounds like you are doing all of the right things. On the white bras around the perimeter you can use a little bleach and water and soak for no more than mins.

I use a Clorox bleach pen on the oil and dirt deposits on my white bras. I use diluted landry detergent on my colored bras for dirt stains (as a pre-wash scrub). However mine are all cotton. If your bras are made with any fancier material, the bleach might hurt the fabric.

You can use a lingerie bag to wash bras. I always wash on the gentle cycle. As you've said, hand washing just doesn't do the trick for any garmet that has a lot of sweat in it. Also Woolite or even Dreft would be good detergents to use to extend the life of the bras.

ok, when you've performed each little thing you may and all it truly is left is to toss it contained in the trash, try this: (note: it truly is an previous treatment from the 1800s) Take the garment and a saucepan. Stretch the garment over the saucepan so the stain is contained in the middle. take care of it utilizing great rubberbands or elastic twine. position the saucepan contained in the bathtub. Now bypass into the kitchen and warm temperature a kettle (teapot or yet another saucepan) with water till boiling warm and steaming. bypass to the bathtub and conserving the kettle as extreme as achievable and pour the water over the stain at a sluggish %.. i understand this sounds unusual, yet in a good number of cases the stress and warm temperature of the water can easily stress the stain by the fabric. you're doing contained in the bathtub so the water received't splash up and scald you.

I just throw them in washer. My issue is how not to tangle them in washer and dryer.
