There was an old wives tale that babies could not see perfectly until they were 3 years old. Psychologists have not tested and proven that babies can notably follow objects as early as 6 months old. Other than that, it's kind of a mystery.

i would say about 1-3 months depending on if the baby was early and other factors

from about 6 weeks they can focus about 30 cm away, put your face close to bubs when you are talking

about six weeks old. for far away seeing. they can see a little now but, only about a foot away.
