that is, without using the hamrful stuff you buy at the store.

Every time I go to snuggle them, the smell isn't too pleasing. But, of course, that doesn't mean i don't still snuggle.

It isn't just their cage that smells ( I expect that) but its their fur. I do brush them and that helps a tid bit. If there is nothing else to do, then please say so. This delema definitly won't make me not love my little piggies!

You could always use baby wipes, it's gentle on their skin and fur and makes them smell nice. If they still smell you could use either rabbit shampoo or baby shampoo, again, they're both gentle. Cleaning out their cage every 5-7 days isn't a bad idea either. What kind of bedding do you use? Maybe it's not absorbent enough. I use care fresh, you would never be able to tell that I have 6 pigs in my house.

Generally, whenever guinea pigs do smell bad, it's a sign that their cage is too small, so they're having to stay immersed in their own wastes for most of the day. My six pigs share a total of 32 square feet of cage space, and they rarely hang out in their own feces, and so tend not to smell like poop.

Check out http://www.guineapigcages.com for how to build an appropriately sized cage cheaply.

Put water on the brush when you wash them. There's such thing as shampoo for dogs, why don't you try to find shampoo just for guinea pigs.

My friend had the same problem with her guinea pigs. They cant swim so you cant bathe them but you can buy special animal dry bath just for guinea pigs, rabbiits, hamsters and mice. Its non toxic and i use it all the time for my hamsters and guinea pigs.

Don't put perfume on them. i would say maybe take their poop out of the cage so they roll in it. i have had 2 hamsters and had the same prob. don't worry it happens to every on.
