I had a horrible flu-like virus back when I was 14 weeks pregnant. My doc told me to treat my symptoms. Take Tylenol for aches, pains and fever, Sudafed during the day for stuffiness and Benadryl at night to help me sleep.

Call your doc just to be sure but those three are the most common meds a pregnant gal is "allowed'' to take...

You cant take any decongestant. Even sudafed. Theyre not safe for the baby, they raise the baby's BP and heart rate, and yours, which deprives its growing body and brain of oxygen.

Get some saline nasal spray and squirt it down your nostrils until it just runs into your throat a bit, a few times a day. Blow your nose before and after. I swear the cold will be gone faster than if you took a medication. 2 days or better. I dont know why so many people over look saline solution.

I would reccomend, 1000 mg of Vitamin C per hour, ( we use EmergencC a great product) as well as echinachea as directed on the bottle, and colloidal silver. There is no proven safe Over The Counter Medicine for pregnancy, so I stick with Natural Remedies.

You can put a drop of colloidal silver in each nostril forr the nose congestion. You can also snort salt water to help with nose problems...

You can take pretty much anything as long as it doesn't' have a decongestant and/or an expectorant as both constrict blood vessels in your body and can restrict blood to your baby. You can ask your doctor if you want, but to be honest a pharmacist is much more knowledgeable in this area.

Your best bet would be to call the doctor. Most of the time they will prescribe the Z-pack which does wonders.By the next day you will be feeling better.

From what I was always told Tylenol is the only thing when you are pregnant. But please check with your doctor, he or she are the only ones that really know.

My doctor told me to use benedryl. I couldn't find any for a cold except in Children's benedryl, but it worked for me.
