Oh come on, X-men 3?! okay, it may not have been the best. but it was still a good movie.
And, yes, we do need another epic like lord of the rings. Unfortunately, i think they have canceled the making of 'the hobbit'. would have been a good film.

Added: I say Xmen3 because I have read the comics and its so far off the mark of the comic book that its a disgrace. Try reading the comics regarding The Phoenix Saga.

The best film for me was The History Boys, to have both wonderful camp and serious moments to be able to laugh and then get a lump in your throat, and brilliant acting. Worst... The Wind That Shakes the Barley, great story, but I could hardly understand a word they were saying, just a mumble, or music drowning out the dialogue.
