A friend of mine made a short documentary using this title, and it was really interesting. So I thought I'd ask the more mature people on here what would you do if you were 22 years old again? Would you change anything, wish you had done something etc?

I would have shagged more than I did, drank a little less, and worked as hard in my uni studies as I am doing in graduate school. It is actually easier to work a little harder. It makes more time to skive off, and I have no reason to feel guilty about it.

I'd have sucked it up and finished getting my degree. I didn't, and now I make maybe 1/4th what I'd have made if I'd finished. I ended up later going to night school and getting a job working for doctors, instead of being one. So I guess I'd have followed my dream instead of letting someone talk me out of it and settling for less (which turned out to be my ex-husband). If he'd really cared, he wouldn't have talked me out of/ let me quit pursuing my dream. Now, years later, I can see how big of a red flag that should have been. The other thing I'd have done is listened more to my parents and other older, wiser people. They see the red flags that those under 30 never see in time. That's where the saying "Hindsight's 20/20" came from.

If I was 22 again I wished I would have lived my life for "My Destiny". Each of us has a destiny charted for our lives. I wish I would have persued mine long ago. Then i would have lived in the moment without letting fear get in my way. Fear is manmade. As we live our lives we can let fear consume our choices. Then we end up living in a BOX. We need to make sure we are always living outside of the box, changing, making our lives better.

Yes, I married the right man (30 yrs now) and have two wonderful young men (one in Army and one in collge). That I would not change. But I do wish I would have adopted more kids. I love helping teens and would love to have a house full. They bring me joy and I can help them grow into fine young people.

Right now I am learning about Spirituality. And it is amazing stuff.

Classic question that one lol
I'm 44yrs old I'd only like to go back if I could have the benefit of hindsight IE: my 22yr old body and my 44yr old mind lol as I don't think things would be too different otherwise.
As you mature you see life so much better, relaxed, with more confidence and learning using your own and others mistakes
People tend to regret what they didn't do more than what they did!
Funny that I must be getting old lol.

Well, when I was 22 I had a Lebanese boyfriend who I went to visit in Beirut and he was wonderful and treated me like a princess, so I would certainly do that again.
Other than that, I would concentrate less energy on work and more on becoming a confident person by going out and having more fun!

id chase after some chicks that i regret not trying for, or if they arent then probably any of the 22 year old chicks now would do. A different career, or at least more of an attempt to advance in the same one.

I don't think I would I have changed anything, otherwise I wouldn't be who I am now and I am happy with who I have become. Actually, I wish I would have saved more money so then I could have bought my own place much cheaper than what it would cost me today!

I wish I had eaten differently, done regular exercise, and cared for my teeth diligently.
And I wish I had tried harder to find a non-american woman to marry, I could love being with an albanian, Russian, or Slavic type woman, or any Oriental girl is fine.

american white girls are NOT good to marry.

Finish my Doctoral dissertation, for one thing! Oh, wait - I was in the Army back then, on my way to an ugly-a.s.s. little war in Viet Nam. Guess I'd just concentrate on stayin' alive...
