hardly any sequels top the originals mission impossible 3 was awesome. legally blonde 2 was nice,and that movie princess diaries 2 was decent compared to the first.

Sequels show the thirst for money, and that's largely why they're made. Originals come up with something new and they usually don't have something perfect for comparison.

The original was the first so you didnt know what to expect therefore anything that happend in the movie will surpprise you where as in the sequel you already know whats going on and many other things the sequel usualy makes you think alot instead of being surprised.

Ideas are fresh, fresh characters. Also, sometimes the original directors are NOT directing the sequels

Shrek II was better than the first and I am sure the third is going to be GREAT. I really enjoy those movies.

the third fast and the furious was the best and the bourne supremecy was better then the bourne identity
