hey i am 14 and in top set (just so you know how hard/easy it is)
this is the question i am stuck on: (i'll type it all out)

9) The weights of eighty eggs were measured and the results are summarised in the following table.

____________________________________
--- weight (grams)--- I --- number of eggs ---I
---------------------------------------------------------I
50 60 70 80 90 ____________________________________I

1) write down the modal class. so is the modal class 70
so then it says 2) on the graph paper below, draw a grouped frequency diagram for the data.

so on the x axis i put the weight, right? and should i right 50
thanks?

Yes, the modal class is

70 ≤ weight < 80

And yes, on the x-axis you put weight, on the y-axis number of eggs.

But you don't need to put the classes along the x-axis. Just put the numbers (50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100), and draw "boxes" between them that represent the number of eggs.

This is called a histogram: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histogram

And if you're having trouble picturing what I'm saying, click here:

By the way, thank you for showing some work on your question. So many times when I answer people's questions, where they don't show any work, I feel like I'm hurting them more than I'm helping them. But it's clear that you know what you're doing, so that makes me feel like I'm really helping you.
