Yes a firm hand shake is good. It shows that you are confident and assertive. If you get a limp hand shake think of it like you are more confident, secure and powerful. Maybe powerful isnt the word but you get the point.

I like a firm, not hurting handshake. A limp one to me means that the person is not sincere.

Yes I hate that too. It's the f*ck*ing wierdest. Makes you want to follow the handshake with a quick jab to the face just to toughen up the whole expercience.

i HATE limp handshakes.
i'm in an legislative internship program, and I always have to shake politicians hands, and it's funny how many of them have limp handshakes. ironic.

lol Yes, kinda. They say that one of the biggest Job interview errors is when the person being interviewed don't give the interviewer a firm handshake. It is suppose to imply confidence.

A hand shake isn't a macho contest it's a greeting. It's also a good way to spread germs.

I used to, but I don't care anymore. Some folks offer their hand to shake, but don't shake, no grip. Maybe they slobber when they kiss, too, ew!!!
If we knew it was going to be a 'dead fish' shake, we could return it, how weird would that be?
