i am in a large cowed outside a cinema a Red Carpet is there it is the premiere of a new film the leading actress (she is not currently someone who is or has bean famous) is walking down the Red Carpet and a sniper rifle fiers a shot at her and i dive out and in one of the dreams i get hit in the left arm and in another i get hit in the right leg then the dream finises with her nealing down and hugging me to say thank you for saving her life.

Being shot = being criticized
Saving the girl = need recognition
Basically, you are seeking for some sort of attention in reality. Maybe you don't get it in real life. Projecting red carpet shows how much attention you want to get from someone. Being shot could symbolize criticism. In your case, you are subconsciously wanting attention from others even you feel criticized somehow. Basically you vent this out in dreams

to start with, without actually knowing you and having some real professional insight any 'dream analysis' is pure guesswork and often ends up, even unconsiously, being the desires of the person doing the analysis (ie: if it were me i would want the dream to mean....). Dreams are sometimes distorted reflections of unconscious/subconscious thoughts/feelings/desires. other times, dreams are an escape, a mental vacation if you will allow the phrase, allowing your mind to 'watch'.
that said...
to summarize: in the dream you start in a large crowd, exit the crowd and suffer injury in a very public way to save someone you don't know personally but the world knows.
most basic conclusions:
1. you want attention from the world...you want to no longer be a part of the crowd...you want to be noticed for doing something gradiose, even though it doesn't really change anything in the world.
2. you are looking for someone to give you applause/thanks, and if you are like most of the rest of the world, you do not actually receive enough praise/thanks in the real world, but continue to trudge along hoping that someone will notice you.
3. you get shot, but don't die in the dream, and really suffer only a very minor wound which you will heal from quickly and without permanent damage. this would seem to indicate that although you really want things to be differernt in your life, you are not really convinced you can put forth (or know how to put forth) the effort needed to do so (or the effort you are willing to use is insufficient).
4. you want to be a hero, to make a difference to someone.
does this dream evolve/change over time or has it essentially repeated w/only very minor/cosmetic chages?
if it changes over time, that is good. it most likely means that in your real life you are changing, growing, and maybe becoming a hero to someone.
if the dream has not changed, look at your life and see if you have time to volunteer w/someone who needs you (ie: big brother/big sister, local church/synagogue/etc) if you do volunteer somewhere, give it a good 2 months of positive effort before you consider giving it up or trying something different. The smile from someone that you helped, with what often seems to be insignificant effort on your part, can make you a hero in the eyes of those you help in the real world. maybe no fanfare or papparazzi, but the look in someone's eyes as you do something so kind that they cannot express their gratitude in words is better than tights and superpowers any day. :)

seems like there is a purpose in life that you have been chosen to follow....maybe not with this particular person but with some one. maybe not with a riffle, but somehow. you may be the person who has been chosen to be the protector with all you do - and your dream is your subconcious giving an example of how you normally do things anyways. i dont see dreams being a representation of specific things thay may happen but also a way to express what we do not normally talk about. a creative escape for things that simply occur but we do not recognize each individual act.....and your dream is your way of expressing how you protect and respect each and everyone you know. almost like a movie.....

It sounds like you're dissatisfied with the way others see you and you want to achieve all your ambitions at once.
You want to face danger but not risk death, you want to save someone, but not just anyone...and you want to recieve affection, but it must be given with a garnish of gratitude and admiration.
I think you dream is your subconsciousness exploring the things that you feel are missing in your life and fitting them all into one scenario.

Crowds could mean you feel crowded in your life and need to make some space for you. Maybe friends and family are being too demanding of you? The actress possibly signifies your need to be recognised and acknowledged and for you to be rescuing 'her' (your neglected needs) is bringing to the surface emotions you keep hidden.

Simple really, I have a similar dream about running into a burning building to save someone. You want to be a hero =) or want to help someone and obviously will do pretty much anything to become one.
