I think in a way, that's everybody's greatest ambition. To be at the height of our potential and truly be at peace with ourselves and the decisions we make.
Sometimes you have to take that leap, the one that your mind (probably your common sense) told you never to take. Because if you don't risk it, how will you ever know if there's another whole, incredible person inside of you? You've got nothing to lose by listening to your heart. But so much to gain, including self discovery that could only come by jumping and finding things on the way down.
And either way, remember that changing your life in a day probably won't satisfy you. It needs to be a lifelong change for the better, that refreshes your mind, heart and body.
Prove your mind wrong, and set out to change. Even if you can't... Again, what is there to lose? Nothing! And you may even realize things about yourself that you didn't know before. Good luck!

The road to success begins with a single step. Don't set too many goals at once. You'll program yourself to fail. Start small and stay the course. Some of the world 's most successful men and women started with next to nothing. Bill Gates was shunned in high school. Oprah Winfrey endured racial slurs. Elvis Presley lived on a peanut butter. The one thing they all had was ambition and a dream . You can join the ranks too. Don't let anyone tell you that you cannot.

Why not combine both. Theoretically based on what you have said it works.
If you have a really big ambition go at it with cautious optimism. Just don't quit any jobs you have or your current life.
Also consider that perhaps your mind is right, you cannot necessarily change your "whole" life in one day. But your other half of mind is out to lunch as you can clearly change eventually if your heart is set on it.
Good luck either way but my short answer is go with your heart and mind.
"No heart, no mind, left behind."

Why the low self esteem? Who says you have to change all in one day? Even God didn't create the world all in one day...even HE knew when to take a break. Slow and steady my friend. Anyway, your changing your life was a big change for one day, so take it easy, get to know yourself and change the things you don't like and improve the things you do. Enjoy yourself...you have to live with yourself more than anyone else has to. Just remember, everyday the Sun rises you ARE someone new and it IS a new fresh start. Have fun!!!

No, you can't change your life in just one day but you can take a day and start to change your life. You can make up your mind to live a better life and then do it one day at a time. We have to make the decision to live better one day at a time anyway. Nothing worth doing is ever easy, but is always worth the try. Make up your mind and go for it.

first you are defeating your goal by telling your self that you can't change. you can be and do anything you want ,if you believe in yourself. if you see yourself as the person you know you want to be. in other words stop your self from thinking negative thoughts about yourself. when ever you have a negative thought don't allow it to take root. next start to do the things that will get you where you want to be, put your dreams into action, start to set things in motion, act on the things that you want to be if you need to take classes or change jobs, what ever it is that will get you to where you want to be start to practice what it is you want. there will be things that will maybe get in your way, don't be defeated! find another way to get what it is you want, use the obstacles as tools to help you find a better or more efficient way to your goal, and most importantly don't give up on your self, you can do and be what ever you want!

Your mind is correct in that you cannot change completely in one day. However, that does not make your heart incorrect in wanting to change. Change takes time and persistence. And as long as your mind and heart are working together, you will fulfill your goal.

I think your brain is under the control of the devil. Just don't listen to him; of course, you can change your life; there are thousands of examples to give about.
Listen to your heart wanting you to be a good person and be a good person. Don't give in your brain.
I trust you!

no big change happens over the night. if your heart tells you to become a better person, you should follow it, but take it slowly and keep analyzing yourself all the time.
