My grandmother was born in, 1899, and she told my that her great uncle carved this. It is a 16 X 20 piece of 1/2" wood with the Lord's Prayer carved in unique script all the way through.

It is likely to be worth as much as you cherish it. A picture would help a lot. It may be a very fine object by a professional sign man or a monument carver or it may be a folk art object of unusual charm produced by a clever hand. The subject doesn't sound promising though.

I would keep it and try to find out more about your Great Great uncle. Your Gran wanted you to have it for a reason. Save it for your descendants, along with the story you research. That part of your family is now your responsibility.
