each pregnancy is different. listen to your body so if it hurts to sleep on your stomach or right side, don't. if you experience acute pain, see your gyno stat. and keep up on your prenatal care, take your prenatal vitamins, etc.

All pregnancies are different and to compare to your last is okay, but not always accurate. The pain that you feel could be completely harmless nausea that is normal to be bad in the fist trimester. However, depending on where exactly in the stomach it is coming from and what kind of pain, it can be a cause for concern. Only you know your body 100% and if this is something that concerns you deeply, I would get a second opinion. In the mean time, make sure to do whatever you can do to make the pain go away. Laying on your left side is the suggestion to pregnant woman so seeing that makes the pain go away, keep doing it. Good luck. I hope everything works out for you.

Pregnancy the second (or third, or...) does feel different. Your body has already been through all of this before, so until the baby gets big enough to actually needs some room.... your body is going through the motions more easily this time.
If your doctor has already said everything is ok, just hang in there. Depending on when you talked to the doctor , he should have already been able to check to make sure it is not an eptopic pregnancy. Be glad you dont have morning sickness or the aches and pains that come later on when the baby gets bigger. Spend some time playing with your daughter now (since it will be harder later on) and enjoy!
Good Luck and Congrats!

I felt pain at the beginning of my pregnancy, too. I believe it was just the uterus stretching. The doctor told me the pain was completely normal and not to worry. Other than that, I also went through a period of time when I didn't feel pregnant at all. I am 19 weeks and I still feel that way every once and a while. But just monitor your pain and if it ever feels too intense or different then don't hesitate to call your doctor. That's what he/she is there for, even if it is just for them to tell you not to worry and everything will be fine. Mine has had to tell me that a few times. :)

2nd pregnancy? Sounds like round ligament pain my dear. It's very normal and nothing the doctor will care much about. The hormones in your body are doing wacky things to your joins and ligaments. I had round ligament pains starting in my second month and lasting to now (35w 3d pregnant) I've been in the hospital a few times with the pain, which stinks let me tell you! If it matters any I didn't really "feel pregnant" until I started to show (except the pain). I think it has a lot to do with the fact that we've been pregnant before.

When I was pregnant last year I never felt any of the "normal" pregnany symptoms. I never felt pregnant, and never got morning sickness, swelling, or any other side affect. My doctor said that I was lucky, and that I must have a low horomone level. She also said that each pregnancy can be different, even by the same person.

You have to remember that every pregnancy is different. If you don't feel like you are, enjoy it, because we all know, you will soon enough.
I didn't feel preggy either with my first and he turned out to be such a quiet and content baby. However, my second one, I was sick and tired and she was colicky.
If you keep having that pain, call your OB/GYN's office and speak to the nurse. There is no such thing as being too careful when you are growing a new life inside of you.
Congrats and I wish you the best.

Sounds normal to me. It was painful to lay on my left side and my belly when I was first pregnant. Iam tilted and left of center, so it makes sense.
As for not feeling pregnant, you dont have to. It doesnt mean anything.

You mentioned the pain and he didn't mention the possible cause? You need a new doctor. I never trust doctors who aren't willing to address your concerns, and with good reason--I've had some pretty bad medical stuff happen after my practitioner refused to acknowledge my concerns. Please, for your sake and your baby's, get a new doc.
