Your question is to broad, depends on the event. If there is something I can do to make it better I will, If not, I will pray for strength. I will pray for strength either way.

I won react in-front of the person who told me about the news. However when I am alone, I would ponder hard and think about how should I be reacting..

- my real life story -
I had a friend who told me that my ex-bf who is with me for 7 yrs had got married.. and i was glad that I din had a big reaction that moment cos on the next day I found out that the person who told me the news actually wanted to see my sad react..

Well, i live in a war torned area where every day you watch news that hurts much. I do complain to God a lot. He has to do something. Only thing i feel i can do is to teach human values to school children. i succeed to some extend. The problem is i am not a teacher attached to a school and not getting enough chance to help children.

Do you mean as in death or divorce or even your job? That is a vague question. But speaking for myself, I am losing my best friend to Ovarian Cancer. She is in a hospice house and it is killing me to watch her die away everyday. When they announced that she may not live past next week, I was devastated. I'm engaged so I can't tell you about divorce, but I have lost jobs before...not due to poor performance. So it does differ to the situation and the person. I hope this satisfies your curiosity.

it's weird how the mind acts in situations. My dad had a bad accident and almost died last year. After I saw him in the ICU, I walked out and told my friend, " I have to leave, I have to get out of here and go somewhere." my mind froze. She followed me out of the hospital and then I kinda came to my senses, bucked up and walked back into the hospital to confront the situation head on. I still dont remember telling her these things, I've blocked it out. But that's how I deal....lay down, gather strength and then come up fighting.

i always feel like i wanna be alone so i can think deeply in the news...to believe it...to think of what should i do...how should i react...coz i hate surprises..the good and the bad..and when someone surprises me by a bad news...i always have sometime with myself so i can understand what's happening...
