I mean Im 29 , I have two daughters aged 11 and 9 . I have my own flat . I own three cars . i run my own company . Ive just bought another property to rent . I am also a part time law student . And Ive just split (very Amicably) with my kids dad after 13 yrs . I'm starting to think that im stuffed as men i meet are intimidated by the things i have and also im very dominating . I amd the boss of my co and in life as well . Am I destined to be single ???

Nope Im not trying to bragg , Im not 12 ! im simply asking a Q . There arent alot of men out there that like a women who is more successful than them or on an even level with them .

Damn good question Carla, I was thinking of posting a similar one. A male friend of mine said to me recently I appear too confident. I thought about what he said and thought perhaps I am scaring men off but I want one that can handle my confidence and won't mind that I have a successful career! x

As a guy, a bit older than you and happily married, it is not the intimidation of a woman that is successful, it is how you perceive the other person. We all make mistakes but I am guessing you might like to sit down with your girls and ask THEM how you come across. Trying to be kind, I reckon that you bring the BOSS attitude home even though you do not mean to.
Many men are guilty of this including I suspect me, but as normally women are less dominant it is not so much of a problem, so you either find a wimp or change your attitude>
As a thought, have you a high (male) staff turnover as well in your business. A tip I learnt years ago when working with the military always say please. OK you might not have to but its real nice to be asked and not ordered.
The other thing is we are all good at something, therefore SUGGEST things that you know the other party would like. A day out at a Steam Railway, learning to drive a race car. Try it on your girls first and see what happens.
As you get older you will find life singly very boring.

Youre still too young for you to say that youre destined to be single.. you can't easily find a nice man who'll fit your requirements that easily and that fast. you'll just have to wait for the right time. if a guy is destined to be with you, then time can only tell. IMO, maybe you can lessen your requirements of a nice man.. try to think of the requirements of others..

Look in Yell.com for a "Requirement Fitter" but make sure he's qualified, you really do need to be careful about who you allow to handle your requirements.
On a more serious note though, I am sure you will meet someone, probably when you least expect it.

Sounds to me like you're dating the wrong men to me.Sure money is alright but if that's what's bothering them then they are wrong for you.What matters in a relationship is the two people not the material belongings.FIND SOMEONE THAT CARES ABOUT YOU & LEAVE YOUR MONEY OUT OF THE DISSCUSSION.

You need to find a guy who isn't intimidated by your success because he is confident in his ability and personality, or isn't interested in material things by the sound of it. Either that or find a guy who puts you in your place you might enjoy it.
