i am on birth control now, my period should come tomorrow and i should be starting my new pack of bc next sunday so im planning on not starting the new pack and then trying to get pregnant. Since i was on bc this month is it going to be a while before i can get pregnant or should i be able to next month if we have sex on the right days. Does bc prevent pregnancy even after you've stopped taking the pill?

The day you stop taking the pill u can get pregnant. The pill only works if you take it the same time everyday, and if you miss a day or stop completely it stops protecting you. So if you stop your next pack your chances of getting pregnant increase dramatically than if you were on BC.
I was on the pill and missed a day during the week and got pregnant soon after.
I'm not saying that u'll get pregnant that quickly but, everyone is different. If you do have problems getting pregnant after trying for 6 months to a year depending on your age, you should go see a doctor.

As long as you had a normal cycle before you should be fine. A friend of mine just had a healthy baby boy. She got pregnant the month after getting off the pill.

I think you need to wait 2- 4 weeks.
atleast.
Just to get the stuff all the way out of you system.
You don't want a deformed child.
But what do I know, I'm just a guy.
I think you should ask your DOCTOR, not ANSWERS...
Or get a doctors advice from YAHOO! ANSWERS...
