I have just moved 30 miles south of a place I've lived for 5 years and have a lot of friends there. I am currently going to a private school where i have plenty of friends that i enjoy being around also. But I made it into a highschool in the city I used to live in where some of my friends are currently going and have made it in, who I also enjoy being around, and miss a whole lot...what should i do?

Not sure I understand your question? Are you conflicted about what school to go to? I say go to the best school that you can and keep in contact with all of your friends. You can never have to many of them!

not much that you really can do, is there? more than likely you'll just need some time setteling in the transition of things it will just take time, and patience and understanding that life sometimes just works out that way wether we like it or not and thats something we learn do deal with in an odd way but we do, anyways youll probly just keep in touch with your old friends as much as possible for awhile while building something new until you essentially will pretty much stop with the old and it will become a fond memory, usually that will be the way of it unless you have one or two really close friends you wish to keep in contact with throughout your life and then thats up to you, you can put effort ito keepin them in your life its just a matter of choice you can do whatever it is you want to if you put forth the effort and make it happen so just take a look at what it is you want and do it! good luck Kim

step back and look at the big picture,,this isnt about where your friends go,,you have already said you have made new friends so making more wont be a problem will it BUT this is about your future,,what decision is BEST for your future,,believe it or not the friends you have now are not the same friends you will have when you are older and to make important decisions based on who will be there wont do you any favors in the long run,,,,you miss them but they havent died,,you still can talk to them,,arrange meetings with them, keep them as friends but when you are sat in the classroom all that matters is the education you are receiving, not who you are sat aside of.make your choices for yourself and your future and yes,,it sounds boring but you wont be at school for long,,soon you will be working and so will your friends old and new and the chances are that the friends you now have,,the ones that seem so important will have different attitudes to work, play, everything,so much so that you will wonder how you got on in the first place.

What can you do? You can't live in 2 places, so, enjoy where you are, and try to maintain contact/visit your other friends when you can. 30 miles is not that far.

if you live with your parents and they moved and you are in a good school i would go to the good school. you can still have your friends at the old hood. just try to get the best education that you can. also, you can go to the social events at the old hood and plus stuff at your new school. hey you will have a double social life. relax and enjoy it

Well what's the choice? Either you move or you stay? Obviously move cos on the one hand you can be with your friends, full stop. On the other hand you can be with your friends AND go to a good highschool. So move.

I would say stay where you are, but keep in contact with the friends at your old school. They will understand.
