Why is it that, as a society, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?

I'm not quite fresh on who said it, but it's very strong to me. So do tell me, as I've been dying to get other opinions. Why is it? I personally think people were raised to believe different is bad.

I don't think any of you understand what I mean, and I am appaled at the amount of Homophobes I am seeing. I support being gay one hundred and fifty percent. How can one be more comfortable to see someone get shot in the head than to see people living thier lives happily?

Because People fear what they do not understand..which is why they are so ignorant in their pathetic uncultured swine way..Humanity is Ugly..nothing more..People believe everything they see and hear instead of going out into the world and finding things out for themselves....They expect for everything to be fed to them. They think...what is the easiest way out? There all lemmings..and someone needs to educate them or else our whole world of existence as I see it will pretty soon be DOOMED and rot to hell and crumble before our very eyes...and it is so right now as we speak...Destruction of humanity disgusts me...And maybe if people weren't so afraid of trying new things..they would come to the realization that not everything is "BAD" or what not..may be then they would all shut their mouths..and religion is a joke...its just an excuse to meet other people with the same non-sense beliefs....but none the less...good question..I applaud you...I like anything that actually required some thinking...

Much comfortable seeing other people die than the relatives on hand and my guess is that we share the same opinion. Let us just hope that the culture has a law to respect and follow.

The bible doesn't say you can't have guns, but it says that a man should not lay with another man as he would lay with a woman. Personally, I don't believe in the bible, but much of US society is christian, so...

To tell you the truth, I'm just as comfortable with one as the other.

Because our society has been screwed up by religion. What consenting adults do is thier business and no one else's.

However, don't take this viewpoint to mean I'm anti-gun. I'm not.
