I really don't understand your question, but will say that your work may be superior to hers and she feels threatened. Alternatively, if you haven't been doing a good job, it is negatively reflected on her since she recommended you.
I agree, friendships at work are usually fatal outside of work and vice versa.

Maybe she feels threatened or intimidated by your abilities and are afraid you might end up in a better position than she is.Or it is as you have mentioned-it's just second nature for her to talk behind your back.
It's quite hard to deal with a collegue like her,I have experienced the same thing. But you know as long as we are on the right track before GOD,there is nothing to be bothered about. In the end she has to give an account for what she's been doing and saying. And sooner or later she will meet her own match. You know we reap what we sow.Just continue doing your best and pray about everything you are undergoing and you will in no time overcome!

you can either pull her up in front of someone and ask her what is going on, did you do anything to hurt her feelings and get it out in the open, or mind your business, do your job well, ignore her and keep it movin. soon when she sees that her gossipy ways are not affecting you, she will get tired of you and move on to someone else. you basically already know what she is about. so if you are bold enough to get her in front of a group of people or one or two people and ask her what her problem is, then she can either tell you or say nothin. but you have given her the opportunity. if you dont want to handle it that way, then ignore her and i mean dont talk to her away from the job. cause anything you say she is gonna turn it around. i know i have been the victim of gossip. i ignored it, eventually the person moved on to someone else when she saw i was not bothered by it. unfortunately sometimes some people have to put other people down to make themselves feel good.

individuals are creatures of habit. in the previous you got here alongside your managers were used to particular human beings and knew what to anticipate from them and one yet another. once you got here into the picture they'd their artwork surroundings replaced. they choose time to length you up and be conscious how react and respond to particular circumstances. it really is ordinary for brand spanking new workers to experience unwelcome by way of alternative crew that were round one yet another for awhile. once they get to understand you and experience gentle then they are going to relax round you. i might want to point no longer performing too afflicted by way of it and do your pastime the suitable you likely can. in case you come back off too bossy or too meek then they are going to by no ability take care of you as an equivalent. If this does no longer change in some months then per chance there's a personality conflict.

Maybe she feels intimidated by your abilities, you are doing your job better that she expected you to so she is thinking that your boss will look at you before her if any type of promotion becomes available. Some people are just like that, they feel that their lives aren't complete if they can't ruin someone else's day. Just blow her off, maybe she will take the hint and realize that you aren't into playing those childish games.

Hey don't let it get to you. You can't please everyone all the time! Who cares if she hates you, you are there to do a job not make friends. I would just ignore her and go on with your life and do your job to the best of your ability. If you show her that it doesn't bother you, then she should stop whatever she is doing. On the other hand, if you let it get to you and she sees this, she will continue doing whatever it is she is doing.

You should be talking to her, not us. The best thing to do is bringing it up in concern for your friendship, not because you are mad about it.
