You are fertile for 24 hours after the egg has been released from the ovary. It stays in the fallopian tube for 24 hours, if its not fertilised in that 24 hour period the egg will die. They do recommend that you wait until you have had at least one period after the miscarriage before ttc again. Give your body time to recover then have another go. I'm sorry for your loss take care of yourself when your body is ready you will have baby.

Hi, First of all, I would like to send my sincere sympathies to you and your partner. I went through a miscarriage on the 5th of November, I was 6 weeks along. I am now 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant! We dont know exactly if thats right as I didnt have a period, i believe I may be a we bit more along than that. I found this board so very helpful when I went through my miscarriage, I also asked the same question as you are asking now.I was toldby some women as well as my doc that you are most fertile after having a baby as well as after having a miscarriage. Unfortunately I am unsure just how long it lasts but after the miscarriage I bled for 5 days. We started having intercourse the next day.My doc told me that you can get pregnant 2 weks after a miscarriage but again, i would check with health professionals as all cases are different. Also, alot of people have said it could be dangerous ect, that might be true but again, my doc said she wanted me to wait so that they could determine the dates ect. I would say this, wait until you are emotionally ready. Other than that, talk with your partner as you are both in on this and good luck with whatever you choose to do. If you want to ask me any questions, email me. again, I cant give medical advice but im good at lending an ear!Take care adn again, so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have had two miscarriages and understand your desire to get pregnant again as quickly as possible.
The return to fertility after a miscarriage varies from woman to woman and from miscarriage to miscarriage. After my first I bled for two weeks, got my period two weeks later and was fertile again. After the second one, although my periods returned, I didn't start ovulaing again for a couple of months.
Although your body will recover quite quickly from the miscarriage, emotionally you may need a little longer. Make sure you are stong enough before you get pregnant again, just incase the worst does happen a second time.
I wish you all the best and hope that you will be blessed with a happy, healthy baby soon.

I have had 3 miscarriages. I am sorry for your loss, I know how devestating it is. Yes, after a miscarriage you are VERY fertile. I was pregnant the very month after my miscarriage, but miscarried again. You should try to give your body a rest after miscarriage, about 2 months. You should be very fertile for 3-4 months. Good luck!!

I had a miscarriage, and then a sprint one not long after, then yet another miscarriage. pondering i became instructed i might in no way get pregnant, I seen that one a blessing. 2 years later i circulate pregnant back, and we had fun and thought we would in no way get pregnant back. Then #3 became born 18 months after #2...WOW! Then #4 became 15 months after #3, then 18 months later #5....we began thinking it became some form of cosmic comedian tale! #6 became born 2 years after #5, and selection seven (we call her seven of 7) became born 2 years after #6. My SIL additionally confronted countless miscarriages, 4 or 5 i think of, she stopped telling us after a collectively as. She have been given pregnant approximately ten years in the past however, and then popped out 5 in ten years. So we are the two fairly happy with our little advantages. i'm sorry on your loss, i don't comprehend what else to enable you comprehend different than to maintain your hopes up. I in no way thought i may well be so blessed, and that i undergo in techniques those days of dread, each month of praying. We have been finished nuts for the time of our pregnancies, particularly for the reason that all of our miscarriages have been after 12 weeks...far into the trimester of 'secure practices'.

It took me 7 months... but I do have some fertility issues. You should give your body about 2 -3 months to get over the trama. I know that you want to be pregnant ASAP!!! I know exactly how that feels. You have to give your uterus time to build up a lining so that you next baby can implant well.
1 baby asprin a day helps thicken your lining.
Best of luck. You know you can get pregnant. Just don't stress yourself out. It will happen. Hopefully soon!!!!

After I had a miscarriage my gyno told me that I would likely ovulate more for a little while, but to allow my body to heal, I should hold off until after my first normal period. He told me at the time that I could ovulate frequently for about 2 months. Hope that helps.
