No you wont. You can only receive feedback on completed transactions.
eBay will cancel your account if you have too many bid retractions and your bid retraction will be shown to all those who do business with you but I wouldnt worry about one occassion.

It is possible that you will get bad feedback, and I wouldn't blame the seller. No offense or anything, but the seller lost other opportunities to sell this item, will probably have to relist...and this costs him/her money!
Ebay is password protected, and there should be no reason that children are on there bidding. I'm surprised he even figured out how to do that.

I have to ask why are you letting an 8 year old use Ebay in the first place ? Surely this comes down to parental responsibilty and surpervising what your child is doing. I dread to think what else he is buying online

Many people have had their children do this to them, although most don't realize until they see their card Statement. Be thank full you caught it when you did. Most people on EBay Will understand, since they themselves have sons and daughters, so they know what kids can be like.

Oh, yes, you'll get plenty of bad feedback. This happened to me once with some stupid kid and it took me forever to resell what I had up for auction. This is a real pain in the butt for sellers - keep an eye on him!!

Nope, you can only leave feedback to the person who won the item. And it sounds like you didn't actually win the item, so you're safe.

No, not if you explain what happened. Also, try grounding your son until the end of the next ice age. that might fix things. lol
