Get a teacher... an english one. A vocal teacher would also work wonders for your voice. However, I would imagine, that as a irreplacable instrument that is all your own, you have to have enough talent to start with. You either have it or you dont. You are lucky if you do.

practice and try to push yourself to sing things that might seem too hard or way too easy. The easy songs are good to try and tweak to see if you can add stuff that sounds good and the hard ones will come with time. Also if you can get into it try listening to Celtic Music. The things that those people can do with their voices are amazing, the voice is the primary instument.

practice scales EVERYDAY!...don't drink cold drinks...hot tea w/lemon and honey..doc can prescribe "miracle mothwash" which consists of benadryl-milk of magnesia-lidocaine mixture to gargle. Great for sore vocals or scratchy... or try to find either "vocal ease" or entertainer's secret" which are both throat sprays...www.donniemills.com

never put earmuffs or anything like that on because then you cant hear your self sing and yuo cant improve your voice.
