I have Zoe, Maggie and Meow... Zoe and Maggie were good names because they sound a bit like puppy and they liked the eee noise. Meow is Meow because she is a kitty and she talks to us. If we call her she comes like a dog. Cute!!

Dogs: Dusty (m) named by my brother because he is a dusty grey
Ares (m) because he IS the god of war, he'll start it, and if he didn't he'll sure end it
Ferrets:
Loki (m) The little trickster, thief, joke-master . . .
Zahra (f) sweet little princess, she acts more like a cat than a ferret
Pixie (m) unfortunately for this little fellow, he spent the first three years of his life with a family that thought that he was a girl, until I adopted him.
Rabbits:
Calico (f) she colored like a calico cat
Bastet (f) she reminds me of the egyptian goddess
Buttercup (f) she's a beautiful two toned buttery colored Giant
Thumper (f) adopted from yet another misguided family, but she does look like the little bunny from Bambi
Sakmet, Keket, Naeemah (f) three sisters from the same liter, I just liked the names and they were stuck
Andre the Giant (m) daddy of Buttercup, named so because he had to weigh at least 20-25 pounds when we adopted him
Dante (m) devil of a bunny, and he will bully me into giving him whatever is in my hand.
Marshmallow (m) a niece gave us him for safe keeping because she wasn't the best about feeding/watering and so forth. He's a white miniature something.
Gnasty (m) he is a rex and is the nastiest thing I have ever seen. No matter how many baths, cage cleanings and such, ten minutes later he will have it looking just as nasty.
Kinky (m) He is a gentle black rex with a soft kink to his fur
Molly (f) black rex female named by my Mother
Whodini (f) Dante's mom, she can get out of ANY pen without leaving evidence of her passing.
Cadbury (f) she is so pretty you could just eat her up. she puts me in mind of those caramel filled cadbury easter eggs
Big Mama (f) Buttercup's mom, she is also a big spoiled brat
Chunky (m) Short for Chunky Butt, he was the only kit to survive out of his liter and I think his mother doted on him a little more than usual. He was the fattest kit i have ever even heard of, with real fat rolls and a double chin.
Chiquita (f) she was a little girl when we bought her, but she has grown up since then and now rivals some of the giants, although she is only a San Juan
Mortimer (m) Evil little bunny, loves to torment me at feeding times, he acts more like a ferret than a rabbit
Big Red (m) he's big and more red than brown
Tyson (m) he's a biter
Cailin (f) another giant, she is a sweetie
Bagheera (m) a beautiful black lionhead.

My Yellow Labrador Retriever is named Tritan because I wanted something different and symbolic. Tritan is the son of Poseidon ( god of the oceans) and Labs are water dogs hence his name
My Pit Bull is named Remy because he was my brother's dog and he got him when he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. My brother's name was Jeremy and he wanted to leave some part of him behind so he used the last part of his name to name his dog.
My Guinea Pig is named Pig PIg 2 because it was my youngest nephew's and that was all he could say at the time, and after I got him it just stuck.
My Hamster is named Teddy can't tell you why because my nephew named him.
Horses names are Big Red, Peppy, Gilbraltor, King, and Midnight, they kept the names they came with or the shortest form of their registered name.

My male dog's name is Hillbilly Jack, because he is from West Virginia. We call him Jack for short. My female is Lilly. Her name was Lilliput when I add opted her but I was not crazy about that name. I shortened it to Lilly because i didn't want to confuse her. She had suck a horrible life before she was rescued by K9 New Life Rescue. My cats are Peanut and Mr Claws. Peanut got his name because is buff collared and he had a little peanut head when I got him. Mr Claws has the longest white whiskers i have ever seen on a cat. I got him in December. My Parakeets, are Chompers and Snowie. Chomper bites VERY HARD. Snowie my husband named. I do not know why he chose that name, because he is blue!

Axel is my german shepherd. He came with that name from the shelter. He knew it too well to change it.
Dixie is my calico cat. We just picked that name. We also had a long-haired, brown tiger striped cat named Trixie. She passed away this fall.
My conure's name is Reggie. He was named after the late, great Reggie White. (Defensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers)

Miss Kitty: (our family dog, she's a rottweiler) It just seemed to fit her so well. We were trying to think of names for her and my mom thought Lady. But, that really didn't fit her so my mom kept thinking and came up with Miss Kitty.
Bling Bling: (my horse, he's a pinto) Well, I don't know if yoiu know anything about horses but he is really colorful and "flashy".
Teddy Bear: (my other horse that is a yearling, he's a paint) He looks like a Teddy Bear.
We have a couple more animals but their names aren't as unique.

Bostet: Egyptian cat goddess (sometimes spelled Bast or Bastet), often asscoiated with happiness, music and dancing.
What's weird about it is the fact that my cat has similar markings to those of the Egyptian cat goddess. (on the forehead, cheeks, and tail).
