I am nearing 23 years old, I have two children, but I would like to ask your opinion. For the past 6-8 weeks, I have been experiencing some abdominal pains, it starts as a constant dull ache which occasionally becomes a horrific sharp pain just around my bikini line, This has also started in my lower back. I have put on weight recently which I am struggling to lose, and I feel constantly bloated. I am using the toilet more than normal to urinate, and I get cramps after sexual intercourse. I am on the depo injection and I know I am not pregnant although I look pregnant. I have had a few abnormal smear results, and I feel a lot of pressure around my vagina. I am not constipated and the abdominal pains last approx 1-2 mins, reaching a peak in pain and then dying off.
Does this sound like it could be fibroids? I know it would be impossible for you to tell me without an examination, I would just like your thoughts.
Oh and sorry for not showing it all earlier!

Yes, you tick all the boxes for endometriosis, but don't worry, it is simple enough to deal with. I had exactly the same symptoms as you including unexplained weight gain and I also had a three-week cycle with heavy cramps and 'flooding'. The stabbing pain was there pretty well all the time and at first it was treated as Irritable bowel until I was sent for a laparoscopy which showed that the endometrium had been attaching itself to the bowel. I was put on a course of Danazol (hormone pills to stop my period) and, within a week or so, the pain had disappeared. After another few weeks all the excess weight fell off and I felt like a new woman! i would encourage you to suggest this to your GP as, in accordance with what another poster has said, not all doctors are completely au fait with it. At the very least you should have a gyno appointment. Don't worry - it really does not sound like anything more siniister. Good luck!

I am now 26 and had the same types of symptoms after my last baby, when I was 23. I seen doctor after doctor and was told everything from a hernia, fibroids, cysts, a nerve bundle (that the doc stuck needles in my stomach to freeze and it did't work), I was told that I was imagining it. Finally my ob/gyn decided to do an exploritory surgery to see if he could find anything on the inside, and turns out that I had a golf ball size endometrioma, which doesnt show up on ultra sounds. I had my surgery almost a year ago and I feel great now. Ask you doctor if this could be what you have, not many doctors even know what it is. Try googling it and get more info so you can tell the doctor what you have already found out. Good luck!!!

That's exactly how I feel now lol. From searching on the net I found out that it is very normal to get af like cramps in the beginning because of the womb making way for baby. I have a 4 year old son but cant actually remember if got cramps or not it was so long ago now. I did bleed however though. But i totally know where your coming from on the 1 minute you think your pregnant then not that has been going through my mind over the last 2days when I realised I was late. I ain't going to test though because i don't seem to get pregnant anymore lol good luck and baby dust x

It could just be the depo shot. Lots of women gain weight on the shot. I know because I did.
I'd strongly recommend not getting the shot anymore, I was on it for four years and found out that after five years you need a bone density check as it seriously messes with your bone health.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.
In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/uhddK

I really think you should go to the doctor and get a check up, do you know they history of the women in your family, this may help too. talk to your mom or grandma and they may be able to tell you if there is something you may be at risk for.
