You can make a career of it as a salsa dance teacher. That would be a good start. Inquire with a local dance studio and see if they hire trainee teachers. You can also open your own dance studio that teaches salsa and other nighclub dances. Salsa club is another option. If you are looking to hear that you can be a salsa performer and make good money out of it - soory, I don't think so. You can be a performer in addition to other things and perform every now and then, but I don't think it can be a good steady sole sourse of income. Salsa is a lot more fun to dance than it is to watch. :-) A lot of people want to learn.

Dance isn't really an industry, it's an art. There's not much money in any of the arts, not unless you're on the business end of it or are extremely blessed with a rare talent that can entertain today's brutal audiences.

Teaching salsa is probably the only way to score some cash out of it. Better still, put together a business plan to start a business that brings salsa lessons and salsa nights to people in a way that hasn't been done before. How about a combination of speed-dating and salsa lessons? Damn there goes my million-pound idea, never mind, take it and run with it and good luck...

dance in itself is much work, especially something as lively as the salsa, as far as job openings...that's up for grabs.

you may find work alright but can you survive on it that's the question that I can't answer.
