I now have two twin-size beds under my control. I do have the money to sell em and buy a new queen size, but is it possible to push two twin-size beds together and still have it be stable/comfortable? What would you do to finish it off, buy some sort of matress pad to put under the sheet, or is there some sort of thing you can put in the crack between the beds? Help a brainless furniture shopper!

Not comfortable unless you get the insert that goes between the mattresses, and even then its not the same but better, been there done that

Twins together will make a king size bed, if they are on bed frames to a bedroom set, you will probably have a gap in the middle.

If it is two of you, it would probably be best to sell the twins and buy a queen size. Or a king if you like space. A king size is 18 inches wider than a queen. Only buy once (of course you will have to get new linens).

My Hubby and I have had King size for 39 years. Even a queen just isn't roomy enough. We are both pillow snugglers.

My preference would be for the queen size bed. However they do make a filler pad for the crack between the two beds. If you decide to go this route, then inquire at a bedding store about the availability of the filler pad.

I had two twins pushed together and it was horriable. Either myself or my husband would end up in the crack. It was a nice big bed, but I would not recommend it especially if your box springs are twins also...if your boxsprings were the king size it may work for you.
If you did do it, you qould just buy king size mattress pad and sheets

Two twins together actually make a King Bed.
They have 'doublers' that you can buy that secure the beds together and avoid the uncomfortable crack between them. (See link)

If the frames have casters you may want to remove those to avoid one bed rolling away from the other.

Since there's the potential of the two beds separating and pulling the bottom sheet apart, play it safe and use twin xl on the bottom 2 beds. The top can be California King (which is longer but not quite as wide as King) for the top sheet and whatever cover you use. Personally I keep one bed for sleeping and the other as a "couch" .

one of my family members has two twin-sized beds and she pushed them together and went to BJs and got like a matress pad (like a tempurpedic or something) to put over it and it works pretty well if you don't want to spend lots of money on a new queen-sized mattress.

There is a catalog called Get Organized. They have these type of items to put between beds to make them whole beds. I saw them in their catalog a while back, hopefully they still have it. You can order their free catalog on-line. I hope this helps.
