Oh yeah BRENDA, let's leave it to the whiney liberals to defend us. Hell, the whole lot of them couldn't defend a bowl of cheerios. Oh, maybe we should go back to the Clinton days when our nation's defenses were being cut left and right. Did Slick ever go after the terrorists? Oops...he sure did......when he needed to get the spotlight off his sorry *** when he couldn't keep his pecker out of Monica's mouth. Yep, he receives scrutiny for his infidelity, and then some of my Marine brothers have to go off to die so Mr. Commander in Chief can get out from under the microscope. Are you ready to don a burqa? Keep following the appeasers.

Is this a new occurance? I recall some Muslim clerics being detained in Miami recently. They were eventually released and went on their way.
It is wrong to simply detain people for what they might be up to. Being a Muslim does not mean one is a terrorist.
If Homeland Security is working so well, why was it unable to evacuate thousands from the path of Hirricanes that were obviously headed towards the U.S. for several days?
Saying that Homeland Security is working simply because there have been no major terrorit attacks in the U.S. since 9/11/2001, is like saying that your actions are protecting you from sunburn because you never leave your house.

Nothing reported has indicated, in any way, that they were muslims or that they were trying to enter the country illegally. The only information released so far is that they are "of middle eastern descent" (not ALL middle easterners are muslims) and that the driver of the truck stated that no others were in the truck with him. It's entirely possible that they have been in the U.S. for some time and were in the truck for some purpose other than what you imagine in your fertile, if not twisted, imagination.
You might want to go easy on the slobbering over Bush. I'm sure that even he has some standards regarding who he is associated with.
** UPDATE **
Turns out that the individuals involved were NOT attempting to enter the country. They were legal, Lebanese immigrants (just as likely to be Lebanese christians as Lebanese muslims), who were already here and were involved in no nefarious activities.
So, now that you have baselessly slandered roughly one billion people and publicly shown yourself to be, beyond any doubt, a shreiking lunatic, you can comfortably go back to casting illinformed votes and gushing over your nitwit, neo-con heros.
Curious as to why we are held in such low regard, if not hated, by the world in general and muslims in particular? Take a break from that Jerry Springer Show rerun, roll off your dimpled rear end, go to the bathroom and look in the mirror. YOU are the reason we are attacked. YOU are no less responsible for the deaths and dismemberment of thousands of Americans than if your hand was on the throttles of the planes that hit the WTC or if your finger was on the trigger in Iraq of Afghanistan.

I'm suprised, I didn't know George Bush got a job as a shipping dock security guard. Why else would the arrest have anything to do with him? I'm pretty sure Bush ignored the results from the 9/11 comission to increase survelience at shipping hubs. Bush should be held responsible for any future terrorist attacks because his policies justify the motives of terrorists.

Terrorism is not about religion, nor is it the fault of Islam. If they were detained simply on the basis that they were Muslim, or that they were expressing their faith (like the 6 imams arrested in the Mpls., MN airport,) then it was clearly unjust, but if they were actual terrorists which presented a significant safety threat to the US, it was just.

I think as citizens in a free society we are obligated to take a certain level of law enforcement performance for granted. If we applaud every time someone is arrested, that gives the government too much incentive to arrest people on trumped up charges.

They were stopped simply because they looked like muslims. What's next? Stopped because you appear fat, because you appear too tall, because your coat appears too big. Maybe you will be stopped because your might be hiding something under your hat, or hey we don't like the way your clothes fit. Lets strip search. Hope it never happens to you.
