They all have strengths and weaknesses; the only thing to do, really, is to look at the best current and upcoming games for each system and see what would be the most fun for you.
Also remember the PS3 can play (most) PS2 games, the wii all gamecube games, and the xbox 360 some xbox games.
Then there's the price... for the price of the 60gb ps3, you could have a wii and 8 games...
Personally I went with the wii, because to me nintendo's games are the most fun, but that may or may not be the right choice for you.

I'm gonna have to say the 360 because Microsoft is really producing good games lately such as GEARS OF WAR. Also they have some new games coming out early next year such as Blue Dragon ( which is being developed by the Ex-Squaresoft employees) and Halo 3 which is currently development and the beta for it is starting in Feb. So due to the current competition of the PS3 and the Wii. The 360 is simply producing better games.

With the last generation of systems, I was all about the PS2 - I liked the game play, the selection of games, the whole package... but I'm really disgusted with the the new one. It's huge, it's expensive, and if you want to watch DVDs on it, you have to buy Sony's stupid Blu-Ray disk. How cheap is that? I for one will not allow Sony to corner the DVD market... I hope this stupid Blu-Ray disk goes the way of the Beta Max.
My choice is the Wii... I like that they updated the controller, the price is reasonable, for me - family appropriate games are important. I just think it's a neat little system.
The XBOX 360 is fine. I just prefer the Wii.

i own all 3 systems and it just depends on what type of gamer you are... if your a hardcore gamer then i would say
1. xbox 360
2. ps3
3. wii
if your playing games just for fun then
1. wii
2. xbox 360
3. ps3
but if you like to play games and like to have access to your media then
1. ps3
2. xbox 360
3. wii
and you wont notice a big difference in graphics between the ps3 and xbox 360 unless you are using hdmi cords on the ps3
