When do you file a W-2 form?

I thought somebody told me that you have too get 1500 dollars or 5000 dollars before you file your W2 foms.

No. You dont pay or receive anything for W-2s. Your W-2 gets sent to you in the mail at the end of January by all of your employers in the year 2006. Then you have to pick the proper form to fill out (1040, 1040A, 1040EZ) and fill it out based on the information on your W-2 form. It will just list how much you made, how much taxes were taken out, such and such... You can find the 1040 forms at the library, and if you need help, ask someone that has been doing it for awhile or go to a tax service to have someone do them for you, but that will cost you.
