Similar yes , same - no
Everyone's lives differ in experience so there will be some difference in personalities.

Theoretically, according to pscyhological principles, yes. Meaning that someone could have the same personality through matched experience, genetics (mz twins) and within a certain context that both percieve to be similar. However, this is close to impossible (and is for all intents and purposes). Personality is so complex, meaning that we simply have yet to figure it out entirely (and may never do so) and it tends to vascillates over time. Mean that even if 2 people were to score the exact same one the mmpi or neo-pi or any other personality test, they probably wouldn't in the future. Also, according to interactionists, personalities generally interact with the environment. It could be that two people are reacting the same way to environmental circumstances--not surprising. Furthermore, this is entirely seperate from possible theological/philosophical arguments

Correct. Personalities just seem similar due to the human need to generalize things. No two people are exactly alike.

Simply put NO. Two people can not have the exact same personality. Our personilities develop though genetics as well as how the individual views the world. In tons of twin studies (identical twins) even they do not have the same personalities. As a people we do tend to generalize life experiences however, that is a base line statement. For example, the horrors of the world are viewed by most people as horrors because of how and what we were raised to believe. Some people are more affected than others due to a deep seated belief system. I for one will step outside my comfort zone to assist someone - where as other would not. I hope that answers your question.

it depends on the definition of "personality"
personality is complex and difficult to describe, but people can have similar personalities. if you say there are genetic portions of personality (say that to some degree, you can inherit personality traits from your parents) and that your individual life experiences also influence your personality, there are already countless combinations of traits and actions. even if identical twins are born with the same potential for extroversion and neuroticism, everyday experiences can punish or reward their extroversion/neuroticism, and lead them to react differently next time. no one's lives are completely parallel, so i don't think anyone can say people's personalities are completely parallel. what we can observe is people's behavior, and if we do just that, maybe people will appear the same.

overall, however, we generalize personality by saying "out-going" or "neurotic" or anything else, and i agree its a human need to generalize this way, so whether they are or not, personalities may seem identical even if they in fact are not.

well perhaps somebody may have a personality close to mine but don`t think someone can have the same personality as mine

the thing that make up a person is his physical appearance and his personality thats what make him unique

i think no one can have EXACTLY the same appearance or the same personality with another person
