Sure, and it is normal, and healthy. As someone said, you'll regret not doing it later. Just relax, but don't do anything you don't really want to do, like touching him or having him touch you. You've probably already masterbated in the same room at night, just get it out in the open. Many guys have had circle jerks or got off with a best bud.

The decision must come out by yourself depending from what you feel and prefer to act. Sex hasn't to be as a bad or wrong affair whereas there is wish and pleasure to have it independently if together mates, girlfriend or alone!

It's quite normal for guys to masturbate together, and everyone here is who's said that it doesn't make you gay is right. Make a contest or a joke out of it if it will make you more comfortable.
It's really about comfort here. I don't walk around my apartment naked when my roommates are here because it makes them uncomfortable. My roommate from last semester didn't care as long as I wasn't sitting on her bed or in her chair.
If you're both comfortable in your sexuality and manhood, then there's no issue. You don't have to watch him. Maybe it's his way of trying to get more comfortable with you or learn a new technique for himself. (I've learned more to do for myself watching other women than you would ever believe.) No matter what, it's nothing to be ashamed of.

It is really common for straight guys to masturbate together. If it makes you uncomoftable dont do it, but otherwise there is nothing wrong with it. It doesnt make you gay, it makes you a college kid having fun with his rommie.

It sounds to me that your friend is a fruit cake. This really is not a normal thing to do. I have heard of women just sitting naked in front of their boy friends and they do this in front of them because it turns them on. It is up to you what you want to do, but if was me, I would find a new place to live.
