I subscribed to a streaming video site and they have a lot of things I like to watch.

What equipment would I need to purchase to make sure those things can be viewed on a tv monitor?

I assume I'd need some sort of connecting wire from my computer to the tv. A high definition tv? And perhaps a special video card?

Anyone done this with success?

You don't HAVE to have an HDTV to watch your computer on your TV. Of course you will get better resolution if you do. Many video cards now have an S-video TV output on them. All you'd need then would be an S-video cable. If you want to go the HDTV route, you can. For example, there's an adapter you can get that works with certain ATI video cards that puts a component output on them so your computer can deliver an up to 1080i resolution picture to your HDTV. There are also ways of doing it with a video card that has a DVI output and a TV with a DVI input. See:
