Once again the excuse for politicians in N.Ireland have managed to find another thing to stop them doing the job that they are paid for. Is it time that the UK Gov pulled out of Northern Ireland and let them sort it out for themselves?

This none sense has been going on for so long now, that everything that is to be said about it has already be said, and most everything they think about to be done has been done, yet still it is not settled. They don`t want it settled. The IRA fighters of the 60`s and 70`s, are now getting long in the tooth and have settled for leadership `desk jobs`. To-days` young `freedom fighters` want to have their turn at a bit of `gungho`, and so this repeats its`self with each generation. The Irish Nationalists don`t want peace.

When you consider that NI is part of the United Kingdom by a democratic majority vote, we can't exactly 'pull out' of our own country. It would also violate the crowns promise to any holder of a British passport. The problems there now are not caused by anyone remotely interested in independance, or any other legitimate reasons. There is a responsibility to protect the majority and mediate between the awful segregation of communities, but the inexcusable blame can not be put at Britains door anymore. But you're right in one sense, the resident politicians are useless.

It will be a fatal mistake if the UK government withdrew from the peace negotiation in N. Ireland - they have done 90 percent of the job and are in the last stage of cementing a landmark peace that will certainly bring peace to the people,UK and the world in general.
