Does anybody know about the planning requirements for poly tunnels.I know there has been something in the news recently.
I am thinking of putting one on my field not in the garden.

As poly tunnels are mostly a temporary without a proper base, I would think no permission is required,BUT if in any doubt check with your local planning department it's only a phone call away from having a free conscience and no worries.
Just in case you haven't used a poly tunnel before design it with two doors one at either end for ventilation, it will get very hot in the summer, I worked in one for a short time and it gets almost impossible to work in some times. Happy gardening

What is a poly tunnel? Is it a place for moles to go so they won't mess up your lawn and garden? Do you put water in them to water your plants? By poly do you mean plastic or many tunnels?
