Because he is laying the foundations for a regional change in the Middle East, which is the big picture if we want to secure peace.

The Middle East is in turmoil because it has become a culture dictated by a blame based fascist religion. The leaders would be happiest in the 7th century if cell phones and tivo were available too.

The greater population needs education and a middle class stability. They need to build and maintain free speech, security, infrastructure, industry, and institutions like universities and libraries that can surpass the worldwide stage. Their foundations are being torn down with continued strife.

The Middle East was once a region of arithmetic, poetry, literature, invention and technology. Centuries ago.

They must become progressive and raise its people to modern day standards, so the impoverished numbed will deplore being used to mindlessly strap bombs to their bodies.

That is not religion. That's neglect. It's evil to purposefully suppress people so they can't work together and move forward to build lives, hope, and reach goals.

The majority of Americans now believe he's doing a terrible job in Iraq. That's why we voted in a democratic Congress - hoping they can talk some sense into him or at least create a workable pull-out plan. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's going to get any better.

We expect our government to strengthen our borders, improve transportation security, increase spending on education and create more job opportunities. This is not happening and our representatives don't seem to be listening. We are a nation split 50/50 between the Republican party and the Democratic party, but it doesn't mean we don't all want a successful resolution to the mess in Iraq.

ok, what one Republican says can't be generalized to all Republicans. If I cared sufficient, i'm specific i might desire to locate some expenditures from pagans and use that to declare all pagans have self assurance such subject concerns and you could immediately stunning me. such as that, i don't think of of you could say previous a doubt that any pagan might have self assurance this-this-and-this on the subject concerns. you could, yet i'm specific not each and each pagan does, purely as not each and each Christian feels the comparable way approximately subject concerns. If a pagan ran for President and his or her perspectives on the subject concerns and plans again lower back to a determination the subject concerns better heavily matched mine than different candidate, specific, i might vote for that guy or lady. even with the shown certainty that it is kinda stupid and fairly presumptuous to make blanket statements like each and each pagan could be a bodily efficient President.

Bush + stupid average Americans = the American Hitler. Bush is a liar and a killer. We cannot forget Bush is a business man with Petroleum as his business industry. Take a second and think about it. If the US is present in Iraq for the weapons of mass destruction or to free the people from leaders like Sadam, then why not free the people in Africa going trough civil war, thousands of African dying everyday. North Korea has weapons of mass destruction as well.

Americans can be classified into three categories:

1. Son of the soil (Red Indians, who either dont want to get involved or least bothered about U.S.government policy towards the rest of the world.

2. Americans from the heartland ( on whom Bush mandate factor is decided). To this category of Americans, rest of the world is peceived as unsafe & primitive. Pity on these people who depend much on media or the politicians promises.

3. Migrants such as blacks, mexicans & rest of the world. This category of americans are concerned more on their survival & prosperity in their adopted land. Who is bothered about Iraq, somalia & north Korea.

In total, Amercians are more focused on their own issues, rather then the international mess their government has made allover the globe.

Wrong, only about 40% trust him in this, that doesn't mean all 40% would want troops in Iraq if they had a choice though.......his actual overall approval rating is somewhere between 33 to 40%, so I think most do not think he's doing a very good job at anything

you have your diehard democrats and then your diehard republicans that will defend "their" president no matter the job being done.....and would vote for no other party no matter what..
So to answer your question, maybe that is where you get that "most" Americans believe he is.....but that poll you saw must have been biased

I disagree with your premise. Most Americans do not think he is doing a great job in Iraq.
