Recently replaced my old BT wired modem router with a Belkin Wireless Router. I have wired up my existing PC to this router by ethernet cable and a second PC also by ethernet cable from the same router. The funny thing is that when I sign onto BT internet, it now takes up to a miniute to connect ( and thereafter no problem ) but the secondary PC connects instantly. This can be frustrating as in the past connection has always been within a few seconds. The only other new problem is that after about 20 minutes or so while on the internet ( from the main PC ), is that it sometimes becomes unresponsive and I have to go out and come back in ....or pages change very slowly ......frustrating! I have asked this question recently but only got one reply ... I need more ideas please, you clever people! Cheers everyone in advance !

I don't think the problem is with the conncetions. I use almost the same layout at home and have absolutely no problems.

Try using your main computer alone to connect and see what happens. If it is still slow then I think I would have answered your questions, if not well, feel free to let me know and we'll take it fromt there...

Good luck

out of your clarification it rather is not clean what the best subject is even nevertheless in the experience that your workstation does connect on your on the spot community then the router is desperate up wisely. yet once you are able to no longer get admission to the internet then it might seem to be a topic with your information superhighway provider. My suggestion may be set up your complete router and information superhighway returned which is composed of the community cables and filters going into the telephone socket and so on. then examine returned if it works. If it does not paintings then use the LAN CABLE (this could desire to have been provided) and it seems resembling the telephone cable yet must be diverse shade. You plug one end into the back of your router and the different into the back of your workstation. connect the LAN cable on your workstation and notice if it works. If it nonetheless does not paintings, call your information superhighway provider. If it does paintings then there maybe a topic in the config between your laptpp and wirless router.
