I have no hot water or C\H, the boiler I have is an Elan 2 which is in my garage..I have tried the reset instructions on the boiler to light the pilot light to no avail.There is power going the boiler but the pilot light will not come on. The tank upstairs in the cupboard is full but cold but has power.Is there an easy solution

The jets may be blocked up or the pilot light may be covered with muck. It happened to mine in the summer. Don't worry though, if you are in the UK and have boiler cover with British Gas, give them a call and they'll come and have a look for you.

Possible a blocked pilot injector, not a diy job I'm afraid, call a corgi registered engineer.

Phone your plumber. I wouldn't feel safe messing about with gas and electricity.

Can you check another appliance to make sure that your gas hasn't been cut off?
