My daughter and I are having a bit of a disagreement. She said that people who elicit money from motorists at street corners can make about 400 to 500 dollars a day. I don't think so. I think most people, if they are willing to give money to the homeless, usually donate only 2 or 3 dollars. Given that, a homeless person would have to receive money by a motorist every few seconds in order to get anywhere close to 400 to 500 bucks a day. And I never see that many people hand them money when I'm at a red light. So, what do you all say? What do you think the most a homeless person can make per day panhandling?

offer some of them a job, say cleaning up the dog poop in your backyard, for 20 bucks, and see what kind of excuse they come up with.

I would say 100 to 200 dollars (tax free) per day.. 500 would take a lot of giving like 50 dollars per hour and I don't think that they get that many givers..

I was at the casino with my buddy and lost about 500 bucks. we left the casino, drove to the nearest wal mart and he pulled from the back seat a card board sign. It said "family donations," He stood at the end of the parking lot and in about fourty five minutes he came back to the car with money in every pocket. He was just pulling money out telling me to count it. It was mostly one s and five s with a couple ten s and one twenty. Totalling $196.00 dollar s.
