Could I be a petite model?

Question

I am 5'4 and weigh around 100. I am very fit and healthy. I have very pale (but healthy) skin and long dark hair. Could I be a model? A photogrpher offered so do a shoot for my portfolio for free, so I would really like to try. I don't want to try and feel stupid later though.

Because the pictures on my yahoo profile are pretty old. I know I am not amazing, but I still think maybe I have a shot?

Your black and white on your 360 page is pretty good. Being a model is HARD work and takes a LOT of self-promoting. Those that make it either are lucky enough to have a manager and lawyer that are extremely well connected or work work work work. Get a few books on making it in the modeling industry before you set out on this venture. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

You are a very pretty girl and you should go for your dreams. However, you need to be very guarded about a photographer volunteering his services for free. I mean we've all heard stories of famous models being "found" but unless this is a well-known person in the industry I would be very wary. Check the persons references out and if he/she seems to be on the up and up bring your parents with you to make sure all goes well. Best of Luck and I'll be looking for you at the newsstand!

I think you could model, but your main concern is the photographer that offered to photograph you for free. There are way to many young women over the years who have fallen victim to this ploy and some lucky ones have lived to tell their tragic stories of molestation, rape and violence against them. You are beautiful, but be smart and make good wise decisions. Study hard and succeed through hard work and determination. Beauty fades and younger women come along after you have weathered the years, but no one can take away your education. Beauty and brains - that's the way to go. Always listen to your gut feelings. They're there for a reason.

Well...your obviously very cute, but your height may limit you.

Go to a reputable photographer and get yourself a portfolio put together and go for it. Maybe working for retailers and doing ads might be an option.

Every one has a possibility so do you! One of my good friends is petite but is also really pretty. We are only in 5th grade and 6 boys already admitted they like her!(she's been here since 4th grade so she is on a roll) So you have a good possibility!

Be very careful with somebody WANTING to do photo shoots of you free. This sounds a bit fishy. Young, cute girls such as yourself, have been known to been raped, or these photos, taken will have you in the nude( though you were dressed) can be sold to internet companies.

your okay. petite models wont make a lot of money so dont quit your day job! top agencies like ford and elite probably wont take you so look for agencies that specialize in plus models, kids, and petites. give it a try but dont feel upset if you dont get far.

if someone offered to do your portfolio for free some thing is up i would cheek references first wouldn't want you to get hurt in any way there are alt of crazy sickos out there

If they ask you for money the first time u interview they are not ligit enough,their doing it to take your money. Try williamena modeling agency.
