Any reputable doctor will not do plastic surgery on someone as young as you. If they do not have higher ethical standards than that, then they are probably someone you do not want operating on you anyways. You are only 14, so there is a good chance you could be going through an "awkward" stage and could grow into your nose. Also, as far as the breathing problems-- there is a procedure that corrects a deviated septum (which often times is the problem) called septoplasty; and although it is surgery, it is NOT plastic surgery! However, if you choose that you absolutely must go through with getting plastic surgery, be sure to really look into it first. Research surgeons in your area, etc. Many doctors can perform plastic surgery without actually specializing in that field. Be sure that the doctor is board certified before you consider letting them touch your body! Getting plastic surgery is something that should be the individual's decision. If it helps with your self-esteem and makes you feel better about yourself, then it may be something to consider. It is surgery, though, and must not be taken lightly! If you decide to do it, be smart about it. Know what you're getting into and who you are dealing with. Also, consider waiting a few years. By then your body could change and fit your nose better; or you could learn to embrace your differences that make you who you are. Good luck!

If it were a boob job, I would say, you are way too young. However, for health reasons and because it is your nose, I remember one of my classmates in highschool back in the 1970s had this done during the summer. Everything had healed and honest to goodness, I didn't recognize her. She had the cutest nose. I was very happy for her and I know it really boosted her confidence. So if you have it done, I hope that you won't allow this new found "fame" to distract you from your studies, because your success in life depends more on your smarts than looks. People can lose their looks over time, or through accidents. Work on that spirit inside of you that is the root of who you are.

You're far too young to be thinking about plastic surgery. Give yourself more time to grow into your body. Yes, even your nose. Remember, all surgery can leave scars, especially if it's not done right.

If kids make fun of you for your nose don't listen. Just don't pay attention to them. You're beautiful. remember that and walk around with confidence.

You're only 14; you're too young to be getting plastic surgery. Your body will change very much over the next few years. You should wait and see how nature plays itself out.

If it is for medical reasons, be honest. If it is for aesthetic reasons, wait. Be prepared for a down time of about 2 weeks while everything heals. You will look pretty brutal for a little while, so you may want to wait till the year is over.

What kind of plastic surgery are you getting? I mean 14 years old, that is way young to be getting plastic surgery, it doesn't matter how long you thought about it.

I had the same problem. It helped me a lot! I would wait until your next break like maybe Spring Break since it is a longer break and you will have time to recover. I hope everything works for you. Good luck!!

I know someone that was having the same problem, they recently had a noise job, that fixed all her problems. I would wait till spring break, that way you have time to heal and you don't have to worry about missing much school!
Good luck, hope i helped!
