I am trying to burn a dvd but I have two problems, one is - is there any software that burns the avi or movie file quickly or do they all have to this recoding of it? And when I do burn it in PAL mode I can't get them to work in my dvd player in the house. Should I be encoding them or burning them or finalizing them or is it problem with the dvd player?

I know one thing for sure in my case I have to finalize them and I had to experiment with different brands of blank media before finding ones I can burn and play in my regular DVD player.

Im bit of a novice myself but I find if you use http://www.winavi.com this will convert your files to DVD you can then burn them using Nero 7,which costs or as I do use http://www.dvddecrypter.com which is a free download
Im sure if I`m wrong somebody will soon tell you,but it works for me

Howzit man!!!

Try using PowerProducer. I think it is designed by the guys who gave you PowerDVD (Cyberlink).

I got the program when I purchased my DVD-RW, I think you have to pop out a small fee though ;)

Enjoy
