lots of things i would recommend in order:
cutting a slot in the screw with a hacksaw and use a straight driver
vice-grips
hammer and cold chisel
if u have a mig welder try welding a nut to the screw, use a wrench
drill and use a easy out
drill screw completely out and re-thread hole

If the head sticks proud of the surrounding metal, you could also try slotting it with a Dremel Tool or something similar and using a flat blade screw driver to remove it. but SOAK it first with a good quality penetrating oil such as Kroil or PB Blast. If it is a steel screw in an aluminum housing you have dissimilar metal corrosion..... I think its called galvanic corrosion.. to contend with. And this is what caused the screw to become difficult to remove in the first place, Try this BEFORE you try a screw remover as this will not bugger up the threads and wont require a helicoil. The smaller the screw the more difficult they are to drill .. obviously.

You can try to use a small standard flat-tip screwdriver to remove and replace,or possibly a small vise grip, another option would be to dirll a small hole in the screws and use an easy-out.Good luck,I assume the screws go into aluminum, whish tends to "grow" with age...

try taking a cold chisel and tapping in the counter clockwise direction.if not that then cut a slot in them with the chisel or a hacksaw blade(you might have to break the hack saw blade off )and use a flat head driver to remove it. or use chanel locks or vise grips to turn it.

u can try using an "easy out"... Go the Sears and get one for around $20 you will use it more than once. If it's really muffed up, drill it out and Heli Coil it.... GOOD AS NEW !

It's called an "impact driver".
They come with different screw driver tips, and you hit it with a hammer.
