LG Chocolate (VX8500)?

Question

Hey does anyone have this phone? Im thinking og getting it and wanted to know if its good or not. Oh and can you put songs on the phone through your computer like an ipod without paying for vcast etc. thanks

The chocolate phone is pretty good, but I've had problems with texting people. If you want to put songs on here from your computer you do need to buy a memory chip for it ( any local electronic store can help you in purchasing one) or you can downlaod songs from your phone with a $3-7 fee ( wich isn't worth it)

I had the chocolate phone for a week, and although it seemed realy cool at first, i really started to become annoyed by it. Several times during school i accidentally called someone without me physically touching the phone; it was in my pocket, and because it has a touch sensitive keypad and no keypads on the front side, my jeans somehow touched it and made it call some random dude; really embarrassing. The chocolate is a good phone, yes, but the fact that it has a touch sensitive keypad really brings the quality of the phone down. Ppl with the phone tell me they wish they had changed it when they had the time; I just switched my chocolate with the EnV, and let me tel u dude, its an awesome phone! A lot better than the chocolate! If you wanna go with a good phone and not run the risk of accidentally calling people, get an EnV.

I've had the Cherry Chocolate since Christmas, and it is a great phone! You dont need to use vCASt. YOu can up load songs that are .mp3 or .wma. you have to buy the music essentials kit, which talks about vcast, but you dont have to use it. also with the the touch sensitive thing if you keep it closed, the touch sensitive buttons arent "on", until you hit one of the buttons on the side. anything else, you can contac me or whatever
