No. Dogs are supposed to be security guards and if you tie them up, it will be useless to keep them. If burglars broke into your house, and your dog was tied up, then it would just be barking helplessly as it could not do anything to stop the burglars. Whenever I leave the house I leave my dog wander free inside the gate so it could easily detect if some burglars intend to break into the house. It is ok to tie them up if you are home but not if you leave the house.

I don't tie my dog up when I leave the house. I just close the doors that lead outside so she doesn't get lost.

Good grief, no. They have a doggy door and go from inside to out at will. California enacted a law as of Jan 1 that it is illegal to tie up a dog for more than 3 hours. Good going, California!.

NO WAY, I leave Akira in the house and he is a good boy, he goes to the laundry for business matters, he likes Bob The Builder, so I leave that playing on loop while I'm at work and he is always waiting for me at the door when I come home and we have Ice cream together.

No.

I can't do that I have three dogs, if I am only leaving for a few minutes I leave them inside. If I will be away for the entire day, I leave them in the back yard (of course with plenty of food and water).

No, you shouldnt tie your dog up because he could wrap the leash etc whatever you tied him up with and when you get home he may not be alive. Always just make sure hes in a cage a.k.a Coupe. Thanks ;) Hope that answers your question

NO BECAUSE THAT IS SOOOO MEAN!!! let me tell you a story that happened to my friend's dog.
they tied there dog up outside when they were leaving. the dog wanted to come with them so he ran and jumped over the fence (with the chain still on) and hung himself. that's why you shouldn't leave your dog tied up.

I have three dogs. I keep the puppy one in my room when I'm not home because the other two are really big and he's tiny.
