There is no other "Christian" band that has accomplished as much, reached as many people and touched as many souls as U2. Born out of four kids from Dublin, three of the band members got into Christianity early on in their career. Recently, bassist Adam Clayton has also expressed his own faith in interviews. The band has sucessfully put a Christian message in a worldly medium without coming across as preachy or dogmatic. I would recommend "All That You Can't Leave Behind" and "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb." Those are their last two albums and two of their most spiritual work.

Unfortunately these days with the Christian market growing like it has, sometimes you have performers who don't "Walk The Talk". However most of the people who play and support Christian music are good Christian people and the stereo-typical "sex/groupie" link is simply replaced by devoted fans. Of course that doesn't mean someone isn't going to be tempted and stumble. Everyone is human.

There is no such thing as christian "rock" bands. I know I know they say they are.

The only music Christians should be listen to is, Gospel Music. Talking about the Rock of Jesus. The solid Rock.

Jesus said, upon this rock I build my Church. Talking about him [Jesus] Now that something to sing about.
