I say put them all on, if you like. The icing might melt but that ought to be the worst of it.
Now, you may reach an age when it isn't workable, say there isn't enough room on the cake, or you can not blow out all the candles.
So for now, enjoy!

I only have 1 candle placed on my cake - it looks nice, and it doesn't require the fire department be put on notice (lol).
It's about celebrating and making a wish for another good year. One candle or 32 candles is a personal choice, but I agree with someone else who wrote, the cake will just have to keep getting bigger every year to accommodate the many candles.
Happy 32 Birthday to you!

I just had my 16th birthday, so my cake had 16 candles. When I was blowing them out, my hair caught on fire! So I would suggest you put 2 candles which one has the #3 and the other has #2.

It's nice to put lots of candles on a cake, but you can go too far.
On AFV, someone tried putting candle for all 62 years, which resulted in a raging inferno that was only extinguishable with a fire extinguisher. The cake survived, amazingly.
It can be a fire risk. If you have long hair, there is a danger of your hair catching on fire. If not, it's possible you can burn your house down if conditions fall into place.

I think if you like having 32 candles on your cake, you should. If you have been doing that for 31 years, why not another 31 (or more) more? I'm all for it. As for the catching fire part... blow the candles from a near horizontal level, rather than from above. Best of luck for 32!

You know what... candles are not as harmful as you think... but watch out for the people you invite.
Once in a friend's birthday one of the guests brought an air horn. He waited to my friend's face to be very close to the cake and and then....
boom.... the gas from the spray and the fire of the candles left the poor guy without eyelashes or eyebrows.
Pd. why not light matches instead... have 32 people at your party so that you can light them all at the same time. ;-)

Instead of 32 candles, just get the numbers 3 and 2. You need candles so you can blow them out and make your wish, but 2 number candles would cause less of a hazard.

You could get 3 and 2 shaped candles to save space on the cake

Stevie Boy, having recently turned 32 myself I would advise 'no candles', they melt the icing, will absolutely set your hair on fire, give everyone in the room third degree burns and leave scorch marks all over the table, besides by the time the last one is lit the first one has gone out!!! Happy Birthday!

The idea to celebrate a birthday has to do with appreciating the life not sweating the number of candles - wish folks could learn what a gift life is!!!

Personally, I would go with the number candles on the cake but to celebrate every year of your life.....try putting 32 candles of various sizes around the room instead.......that way you can light up your life on the day.......HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!......and have a stupendous day!
