I need help with Pokemon red rescue team!!!!?

I just got my game yesterday and i'm STUCK! I need jobs from the post office. but when i take the job on the bulliten board and then i leave for what ever place i need to go. my job right now is to rescue this pidgey. when i get to the 2 or 3 floor of tiny woods, it said "You have reached the destination level." and i see the pidgey. but when i go down the next 2 flights of stairs and it doesn't give me a reward for doing the job. Also, it doesn't go away on my job list. PlEaSe HeLp!!!!!

You don't just go into the destination floor, or the same room as the Pokemon in need, you need to talk to the Pokemon. If you have your back turned to the Pokemon, use the R button to face the Pokemon. That ought to get you out of that bind.

Two things

one like answer one said you have to talk to the Pokemon in need of rescue to warp it out of the dungeon and later collect the reward.

two see if you have the rescue mail reading Take Job or Suspend! Suspend means you can do that job now and Take Job means you have yet to accept it.
