only reason he is caught here is he knows if he pulls out it will be a defeat for America just like Vietnam how twenty year old guys armed with crap guns can defeat the best army in the world and we don't even know who were fighting we call them insurgents but all of the middle east is trying to kill us. the only reason he attacked in the first place was so he can establish "relations" with the new Iraqi government and get their oil. and he doesn't leave because as soon as we pull out the new Iraqi army which is garbage will be no match for the insurgents and a new dictator will assume power probably worse then Saddam. our soldiers aren't even fighting an enemy there getting ambushed by armed bands of people who fire at them then run away and by road side bombs. bush isn't stupid he just thought we could walk right in overthrow Saddam and all of the other countries will be happy we are there.

I agree with you. We should get out of Iraq and not look back. The people in that part of the world have been fighting against each other for two thousand years and they'll still be fighting two thousand years from now. The only people they hate more than each other is outsiders. I don't know why Bush thought we could go into Iraq and be welcomed with open arms for freeing them from tyranny and installing a democratic government. The people of the Mid East are the most ungrateful on Earth. We should get out and stay out. Let those scumbags kill each other and not coalition soldiers.

They have oil, we need oil. It's as simple as that. Plus, Bush knows that the war can never be won so now he's talking about putting more troops in place. In doing that he will go out of office with the worse deficit in history and drop it in the laps of the Democrats. He still doesn't have an exit strategy but will be happy to hand this mess to the Democrats when he leaves the office.

one extra risk isn't too a lot to ask thinking the stakes. Al Sadr has left the section, the oil income sharing is being instituted, and the Iraq military is a lot extra effective now. I accept as true with the Democrats to set a time shrink for the Iraqi's to take over their own conflict. The conflict itself became a bad theory from the commencing up. the country is bitterly divided over it with the shortcoming of existence and the severe casualties, and the certainty that that is being financed with borrowed money. It needs to end very quickly.

The President also knows that the current Dem. majority cannot overturn his veto. He gets more of a stranglehold about it from Europe and the U.N.
