I recently purchased a new laptop with none of the software I used to use on my old computer. I cannot seem to find the old boxes. I was wondering if there is a way to somehow take the files from my old computer and install them on my new computer. Thanks

Belarc advisor can find the install keys for SOME software if you lost them. You will need to install using the original CDs or through the installer application from their website.

In xp you can go to the top of the program menu til you get to accessories. Scroll down to system tools and you'll find a "files and settings transfer wizard". l've never used it but it sounds worth a try.
